      Qatar Lusail Stadium is the main stadium of the 22nd World Cup soccer tournament, located in the city of Lusail, north of the capital of Qatar, the stadium will bear the opening ceremony, opening match, final, closing ceremony and other important activities of the 2022 World Cup, the stadium seats about 92,000 spectators, the international influence is comparable to the national stadium (Bird's Nest). China Railway Construction Corporation was officially contracted to build the project in 2016, and the main steel structure installation project of the stadium was undertaken by China Machine Steel Structure, a subsidiary of China Machine Construction, which is the first time for a Chinese company to build a World Cup main stadium, achieving a zero breakthrough for a Chinese company to build a World Cup main stadium as a main contractor!

      The main steel structure of the stadium uses about 16,100 tons of steel, and the main construction process is: V columns and pressure rings are assembled on the ground and temporary support system is set, and V columns and pressure rings are assembled separately.

      The stadium will become an important symbol of Qatar after completion, and the Qatari government has made its listing requirements very strict.

      At present, the project has basically overcome a series of construction technical difficulties, and in response to the special requirements of the owner and the supervisor on the acceptance standards of this project, technical documents such as "Technical Provisions of the Phase Connection Process", "Welding Standards for Small Clamping Seams" and "Precise Butt Jointing Process" have been prepared, and milestones have been achieved.

      By the end of July 2019, nearly 50 sets of various large machines were used for the steel structure; the number of personnel reached 610, including 43 managers, 350 Chinese workers and 217 foreign workers. At present, the installation of temporary supports has been completed, and the assembly and installation of the main structure is already in full swing. The project is about to enter the peak construction period, among which, the most important pressure ring will receive its first hoisting on August 19.
